This weekend Joburg is showing off some of South Africa’s most sublime underground electronic DJ’s and producers, as well as two unparalleled international acts.
Churn Boutique Music Festival is a 29-hour ‘mini’ festival taking place from the 5th-6th September 2015, at the Tweefontein Melkery [about 30 minutes from Braamfontein]. This is the second installment of Churn, the first being in 2013.
The lineup is astronomical (to put it lightly), some of the local acts include Rude Boyz, Christian Tiger School, Big Space, Escapism Refuge, Card On Spokes and Vox Portent. International headliners include electronic music magician Daedelus and UK house music connoisseur Charles Webster.
Daedelus is playing at midnight on Saturday, and you can expect a sunset set from Charles, as well as the international debut of some of his brand new material.
Tickets are available from Quicket, and are R250 online and R300 at the door.
It’s going to be 29 hours of absolute sonic euphoria. It’s practically unforgivable to miss this.
