Bass producer and DJ JYD, skillfully put his twist on the break-up and women empowerment anthem Caught Out There by Kelis, dubbed his LoveHate Paradox.
This interpretation of the infectious, manic and schizo-like original is a slowed down one with an unexpectedly large amount of sex appeal.
JYD’s LoveHate Paradox is just that, a paradox. The beat has sex appeal oozing from every direction, which seems highly contradictory to the amount of hurt and rage existing within the content and delivery of the lyrics. Nonetheless, these two paradoxical elements are what makes this interpretation so brilliant and anthemic in its own right.
